Suggested listening: Thinking Out Loud, Ed Sheeran
Some days were made for working on seven different Word Documents. Other days were made for pastries. And even more were made for small adventures.
Today was a day for all three.
Sometimes you just need to remind yourself that the world is so much bigger than you and your cluttered desktop screen of paper drafts, class notes, and study guides.
And even if you can only glimpse little fractions of the world at a time, it’s still worth investigating.
Because time passes by so quickly.
The beginnings of things always seem to pass so slowly.
But you inevitably find yourself scrabbling, wondering where all that time went.
Take advantage of it while you can.
It’ll be gone before you know it.
(Reminders to myself as the semester winds down.)
I’m so glad I discovered this little place in freshman year when I was trying to do Astronomy homework. It is, genuinely, the perfect place to enjoy a sunset for one.
